S.A.F. SPECIAL STEEL PUBLIC COMPANY LIMITED (SAF) was founded in 1992 by Ms. Sumon Sae-Iad, who has great expertise and experience in special steels. SAF has been officially appointed to be the authorized distributor in Thailand for special steels, spare parts and equipment from world-class brands:
- DÖRRENBERG EDELSTAHL and WILHELM OBERSTE-BEULMANN from Germany
- DONGBEI GROUP (DALIAN & FUSHUN), XINDA SPECIAL STEEL and TONGYU HEAVY INDUSTRY from China
- UP PLATE high quality hard-facing plates from Taiwan
- TRI-STAR INDUSTRIES special fasteners such as PTFE from Singapore
- RÖNTGEN world leading band saw blades from Germany
- HAYEUR screws, barrels and spare parts for plastic injection machines from China
- MATSUMOTO MACHINE (MMK) chucks & rotary tables for CNC machines from Japan
SAF has been listed as a public company limited and has been trading on the Market for Alternative Investment (mai) since January 19, 2023. Currently, SAF products and services are classified into 4 business units:
- Special steels for tools and dies: hot-work, cold-work, plastic molds, high speed steels, as well as special aluminium grades, etc.
- Special steels for engineering machinery, for example shafts and gears
- Vacuum hardening and gas-nitriding by German know-how
- Finished tools and dies, spare parts, industrial components, and equipment for projects and maintenance jobs in various industries, as well as band saw blades (RÖNTGEN & VISSÄGE) including band sawing machines
